Welcome to no 2 Ballyclough Cottages - we hope you enjoy your stay Some practical information Water and water heater Should be already turned on for you. (The mains water tap is in the downstairs cupboard, on floor level to left of the washing machine. Hot water heaters are normally turned on by two switches. 1)A Master switch on the wall outside the airing cupboard (which is upstairs above stairwell. 2)Economy 7 switch at the bottom of the hot water tank (If quick heat immersion heater is needed the third switch at the top of the tank can be turned on for a while)
The cottage is heated by four night storage radiators. These run on Economy 7 and store most of their heat during the night, so take a day or so to get running. We will have these turned on for you before you arrive. Each radiator has its own control under a flap lid on the top, a label on the flap gives guidance on the level required according to the temperature outside. There is a built-in fan heater in the kitchen under one of the units Fireplace. Peat and logs can be bought in the garage on the main road into Bushmills. Ash should be placed in the dustbin. A basic stock level will be available.. Rubbish A wheelie bin is parked outside the front door. Blue bins are used for re-cycling all newspapers magazines plastic bottles, aluminium/steel cans, cardboard.. On leaving Turn off all heating radiators, except hall heater to which should be left on low. Turn off water heater (Master switch on the wall outside the airing cupboard) and fridge.
